Living Her Entrepreneurial Dream
We all work hard for the things we have today. That’s why we celebrate success! Lisa S. Jones, who had a strong interest in entrepreneurship from childhood, was never sure how she would achieve her aspirations.
Her first job at McDonald’s helped her in discovering her own voice. She learned how to upsell and stick to a script. She developed abilities in organizing, interpersonal communication, and customer service. Later on, she worked at NASA as a Logistics Specialist for a few years. After gaining industry experience, Lisa moved to Atlanta, GA. Little did she know her life would change drastically. Recollecting an incident, she says, “I received a phone call one summer morning at 8:24 am. My life was forever changed in one communication, as my sister in Alabama shared the news my mother had passed away at home, alone at the age of 61. During this time of extreme grief, I was going through a divorce.” Although it was a difficult pill to swallow, this phase provided her with the opportunity to reinvent her life’s direction and purpose through solitude and self-reflection. “I decided to start a communications company that inspires connection and engagement. I started researching Email marketing for endless hours of time. Soon enough, I understood the need to start a brand that would give email a voice and would include the ability for full video (up to 60 seconds) to play automatically inside the email,” the Founder of EyeMail includes.
Her desire to build a company that would honor her mother’s legacy is presently adding value on a global scale. Lisa S. Jones proves that all journeys are made with self-builders. And with each of these journeys come incredible opportunities!
EyeMail: Putting Email to Life
The evolution of EyeMail’s culture and leadership style has relied heavily on compassionate leadership and empathy for others. And therein lies the power of email: Connecting people beyond their physical boundaries by building connections that are more than just words. Lisa shares, “Email still provides one of the best returns on investment and remains the preferred method of communication by 74% of all online adults. 99% of email users check their inbox every day, and 58% check their email first thing in the morning, yet 73% of email remains unread.”
Since customers today are visual, reading email feels similar to watching a silent black-and-white film. Coming up with an iconic idea, EyeMail helps brands expand their video narrative to the email inbox in order to catch attention, engage audiences, and motivate action to increase open and click-through rates and strengthen the bond to brand offerings. Forward-thinking progressive brands like Porsche North America, PepsiCo, Microsoft, Delta Air Lines, Harvard Business School, The Coca-Cola Company, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and several more mid-tier as well as emerging brands are among EyeMail’s customers. “EyeMail technology generates a higher return on investment by significantly increasing existing standard open rates and click-through rates. Our driving force is our globally diverse team and our unified commitment to making an impactful difference in the lives of our customers and partners worldwide,” the award-winning entrepreneur adds.
Messages, according to EyeMail, deserve to be Seen, Heard & Felt. And the organization achieves this by giving its all, remaining courteous, paying it forward, and learning from other thought leaders!

Whole Host of Challenges
Every experience, good or bad, opens up a doorway within us to a different world and perspective. And when we find our pace, the world is set at our feet.
Since 2004, Lisa S. Jones has been running a mission-driven company and is in charge of its implementation and success. As a black female technological pioneer with a vision, Lisa encountered a slew of challenges, but she sailed through them. Making things more difficult was the possibility of others not believing in her dream or abilities and not providing supporting insights as well as encouragement to support her growth and momentum.
The Chief EyeMail Officer expresses, “I was advised repeatedly that automatic play video-in-email is a dumb idea, that you can never make it happen as a female, and to top it off, you are not a coder or developer. But I knew I was a visionary and a female digital disruptor. I did not let these limiting beliefs stop me.”
As she distanced herself from the negative energy and proceeded on her way, Lisa also faced a lack of finance, limited access to key introductions and contract opportunities to help expand her business, and a lack of an immediate support system. Mentioning some of the best ways to address such hurdles, Lisa asserts, “Continue to believe in yourself no matter what and keep going even when you feel like quitting. Develop a strategic financial plan to save money to help build the foundation of your dream. Also, continue to smile and be open to meeting new people.” Also regarded as an industry thought leader, Lisa S. Jones believes that setbacks set the framework for growth forward and allow us to be one step closer to our desired outcome.
